Take Your Skills Outside the Classroom

Fashion Merchandising & Retailing students visit local boutiques and learn from industry professionals. Corporate Accounting and Financial Analysis majors have access to internships in the heart of one of the biggest financial centers in the U.S. Entrepreneurship students can master the art of the pitch in the annual JWU Sharkfest competition. At JWU, the world becomes your classroom.

Learn Through Experience

We’ll help you transform your knowledge by giving you opportunities to test and build your skills. Participate in Directed Experiential Educational (DEE), a unique semester-long course where students from different majors collaborate on a real-world project. Simulations and competitions will give you access to professional environments where you can refine your talent. Plus, all students complete at least one industry-relevant internship before graduation.

Meet Alijah Jamison ’25, a business administration major at JWU Charlotte who participated in the White House Internship Program, a competitive public service internship for emerging leaders.
