Jaime Schick
Assistant Professor
JWU Faculty Since 2015
Schick is a New Hampshire native whose passion for food and cooking is in her blood; her father is a culinary professional and her grandmother, who Schick remembers baking with as a young girl, attended Fannie Farmer’s Boston cooking school. Citing numerous relatives with careers as visual artists, Schick sees her path as a pastry chef as an expression of an inherited passion for the arts. In fact, she considered pursuing photography in school before ultimately choosing pastry, which she views as an edible art form.
Since 2015, Schick has taken on the title of Pastry Chef Instructor at her alma mater, teaching and influencing future culinarians. Schick’s courses focus on the art and presentation of plating desserts, incorporating current and modern industry trends and constantly exploring new ideas and techniques.
