JWU Welcomes New VP of Advancement & Alumni Relations

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — April 6, 2026 — Johnson & Wales University (JWU) has appointed Emily Quinn as its new Vice President of Advancement & Alumni Relations. 

Quinn joined JWU in August 2025 as Executive Director of Development. In her new role, she will lead the university’s philanthropic and alumni engagement efforts.

“Emily has distinguished herself as a strategic and collaborative leader, advancing the work of both our advancement and alumni relations teams,” said Chancellor Mim L. Runey. “At this important moment for the university, Emily’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our culture of philanthropy, deepening relationships with alumni and donors, and advancing JWU’s strategic priorities. Her vision and experience position her well to guide the next phase of growth and impact for the institution.” 

Quinn brings deep expertise in mission-driven fundraising and institutional advancement, with nearly 30 years of experience in philanthropy and nonprofit leadership. Prior to joining JWU, she served as Vice President of Philanthropy and Executive Director of the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation. Her career also includes senior leadership roles with Lifespan, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Meeting Street. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Smith College.
