Johnson & Wales University’s Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics (MSCND) program is a candidacy program seeking accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2190, Chicago, Illinois 60606-6995, 800-877-1600 ext. 5400. The program is an ACEND Future Education Model (FEM) Graduate Program (GP).
ACEND Future Education Model Graduate Programs integrate didactic coursework with supervised experiential learning in a competency-based curriculum designed to prepare nutrition and dietetics practitioners for future practice. Program graduates will be eligible to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
Effective January 1, 2024, CDR will require a minimum of a master’s degree to be eligible to take the credentialing exam to become an RDN. Johnson & Wales University’s MS in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics provides a master’s degree in addition to the coursework and supervised experiential learning required to take the credentialing exam.
