Labs & Facilities
As an OTD student, you’ll practice your specialty in state-of-the-art labs, and even have access to the Physician Assistant program’s Cadaver Lab.
Lab spaces include the following:
- The Occupations Lab comprises a living room, kitchen and bathroom for students to practice skills in a home-like environment
- State-of-the-art driving simulator used as part of a comprehensive assessment to determine the extent that impairments in visual, cognitive and motor abilities may limit driving ability and performance
- High-tech visual assessment and training equipment
- 3D printers for the production of splints and adaptive equipment
- Simulated hospital room for practice with the equipment encountered in hospital settings, including use of Laerdal Nursing Anne Simulator manikin
- Simulated clinic environment, including state-of-the-art assessment tools, space for splint making, and physical agent modalities such as ultrasound and fluidotherapy
- Pediatrics space featuring suspended equipment, rock wall, and other tools used by occupational therapists working with children
